Give us a quick overview of what you make!

We at Reverie are working on a number of different projects, but to keep it brief, we're making our own TTRPG, intricate mini-adventures that can be played in our system or in others, like D&D or Pathfinder, as well as a line of character tokens with unique and fun art.

How did you get started in gaming?

All of us cut our teeth on Dungeons and Dragons to start, around or before high school. TTRPGs seemed like a niche that no other form of gaming or entertainment quite filled, and it was one that very quickly had us captivated.

What inspired you to create games?

As I said, we cut our teeth on D&D, but as with anything you spend enough time with, we found things that we felt were either missing or simple inadequate to our preferences. That drove us to develop our own system, Triumph, partly just to satisfy our own interests, but also because we figured that other people must be looking for the same particular niche that we are. The mini-adventures were mostly a byproduct of having to develop our own game, in that we wanted people to experience our ideas of stories and worlds in addition to our mechanics.

The idea for Token Tales was made independently of Triumph and the mini-adventures originally, since it was hitting on a market where the idea of tokens was scarce to be found. We figured that taking on all of our projects together was not only more efficient, but also that each of these projects would do well to complement each other, and that we would be able to reach more people if we brought out things that more people wanted.

What is your next big goal for gaming-related work?

Right now, we're getting ready to launch the beta for Triumph and our mini-adventures. We're in the middle of playtesting them right now, but we expect them all to be ready for launch in the first couple weeks of July.

What's one fun fact people should know about you?

I wouldn't call it a fun fact, as it is really a very serious point of discussion, but we at Reverie do not condone imagery of gnomes on any grounds except to mock them. #bangnomes
